![]() Many in Morrow County do not have enough food to live active, healthy lives. Founded in August 2010, the Cardington Community Food Pantry helps feed many families and individuals with food assistance. In 2021, over 3,900 families were served and 270,394 lbs. of food distributed (totals 166,173 meals).
Offering a mix a mix of non-perishable products, frozen meats, dairy products, and fresh produce, the Cardington Community Food Pantry relies on local churches, organizations, and individuals contributing funding, time, and food donations to serve those who need assistance. With monetary donations, the pantry is able to purchase food from Mid-Ohio Food Collective to keep the pantry shelves filled. Located at 128 Flint St., the food pantry is open every Wednesday 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The pantry serves Morrow County residents and residents of the Cardington School District in Marion County. Clients may visit the food pantry once per month. Please note that the pantry will be closed on these dates in 2023: March 29, May 31, Aug 30, Nov 22. Nov 29 Produce Markets, open to all families from Central Ohio, will be held at 128 Flint St., on the 2nd Tuesday of every month from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. To qualify, families must be at or under the 200% Poverty Guidelines. Due to the move to our new location and development of the traffic pattern flow, we find it necessary to cancel the Produce Market distribution days for January 10, 2023 and February 14, 2023. Please make a reservation prior to your pantry or produce market visit so we can ensure to have enough food for all!

![]() Open at Our New Location!
The Cardington Community Food Pantry has been planning for some time now to procure its own location. Being a small and nimble organization, the Board that administers and operates this food pantry has been able to settle on the best property to support the food pantry as it currently operates today but allows for growth to address the growing crisis of food insecurity in the local and surrounding area. The Board has purchased and has moved into an existing building located at 128 Flint St. in Cardington. Work is already underway to renovate the building for weekly operations; however, the food pantry is open despite the road construction on Flint St. each Wednesday from 9 am to noon (with exception of 5th Wednesday in a month). Due to the move to our new location and development of the traffic pattern flow, please note that Produce Market distribution days for January 10, 2023 and February 14, 2023 are canceled. We to hope to have an efficient process in place by March 2023 to reopen the produce market. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this transition as we make the move to our new location and set up for optimal service! We appreciate the community’s financial support that has been provided to date and ask for your continued financial support, prayers, and volunteer help to renovate the building and property in the months and year to come.
