Serving Morrow County Residents with Food and Compassion
Many in Morrow County do not have enough food to live active, healthy lives. Founded in August 2010, the Cardington Community Food Pantry helps feed many families and individuals with food assistance. In 2024, over 7,000 families were served (that's a 20% increase from 2023!).
Offering a mix a mix of non-perishable products, frozen meats, dairy products, and fresh produce, the Cardington Community Food Pantry relies on local churches, organizations, and individuals contributing funding, time, and food donations to serve those who need assistance. With monetary donations, the pantry is able to purchase food from Mid-Ohio Food Collective to keep the pantry shelves filled.
Located at 128 Flint St., the food pantry is open the first four Wednesdays each month 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. (Note: last inside shoppers taken at 11:45 am.) The pantry serves Morrow County residents and residents of the Cardington School District in Marion County. Clients may visit the food pantry once per month.
Produce Markets, open to all qualifying families from Central Ohio, will be held at 128 Flint St., on the 2nd Tuesday of every month from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. To qualify, families must be at or under the 200% Poverty Guidelines. Dates for 2026: 3/10; 4/14; 5/12; 6/9; 7/14; 8/11; 9/ 8; 10/13; 11/10; 12/8.
